Welcome to our 2023 Year in Review
We are immensely proud to share this year's milestones and success stories. A heartfelt thank you to each of our guests for your enthusiasm, support, and the hundreds of thousands of smiles you've brought us. To our dedicated team members, your hard work and creativity are the true magic behind our achievements. And to our partners, thank you for walking this journey with us. Together, we've opened a new major attraction in Kongeparken and broken records for overnight stays at Skånes Djurpark. I'm excited to showcase all we've achieved this year.

Strategy – Setting the Compass towards Success!

We began with strategy days for both parks, charting the course for the season ahead. After dedicated efforts and intense planning the parks united for a collaborative summit at Bosjökloster to share insights, learnings, goals and aspirations.
With refined strategies and plans to elevate guest experiences in both parks we embarked on a year filled with new achievements, records and awards!
Two highlights are the Golden Pony Award and Skånes Best Meeting Place, both awarded to Skånes Djurpark in 2023.
World's first Shaun the Sheep overnight experience in Skåne!

Thrilling news as we unveiled Skånes Djurpark as the exclusive location for the world's first Shaun the Sheep overnight experience – introducing Shaun's Wagons!
This new feature offers families an immersive adventure into Shaun the Sheep's universe, all within the scenic Skånes Djurpark. Guests can stay in charming English wagons, complete with cozy bunk beds designed to resemble Bitzer's dog house. The experience is enhanced with a range of activities suitable for the whole family.
We're look forward to the joy that Shaun's Wagons will bring to families for many years. It's a significant step in establishing Skånes Djurpark as a premier destination for guests from every corner of the globe.
Big Bear Board Meeting in Kongeparken

With spring approaching, our young and dynamic leaders, known as the Big Bears, assembled for an inspirational board meeting in Kongeparken.
The gathering offered a forum to exchange experiences, insights and wisdoms with the new young leaders across our parks. It also served as a springboard to discuss leadership, visions, culture and personal goals for the upcoming season.
The dedication and vision of our Big Bears are the cornerstones in building our strong culture. By preparing our young leaders and setting the scene we can be a fun place to work, make sure that our guests have their best time, while the parks also continues to grow!

With dedication both our parks prepared for the highly anticipated season opening! After months of planning and hard work, the gates swung open to welcome everyone to a season packed with fun and adventures.
The laughter, smiles, and family fun finally echoed through the parks once again.
Norway's Biggest Teen Music Festival, Landstreff!

In the heart of pulsating beats, Kongeparken played host to Norway's biggest teenage music festival, Landstreff! The park transformed into a hub of music, excitement, and youthful energy!
With stages set and exhilarating performances in full swing, teenagers from across the nation flocked to Kongeparken and the must-visit festival creating memories and new friendships lasting longer than the weekend itself.

Raset! An Ultimate Hands-In-The-Air-Sensation in Kongeparken

With the summer finally arriving we opened Raset; a standout attraction bringing together carousel delights with roller coaster thrills!
The ride offers an exhilarating journey with its 360-degree spins and roller coaster-like twists and turns, creating an unforgettable experience for all who dare to go... Ascend to the peaks of Raset and feel like you're soaring amidst the clouds!
Crafted by Zamperla, renowned roller coaster pioneers, Rasets boasts of innovative design. With the outward-facing seating arrangement guests are allowed unrestricted movement for an ultimate "hands-in-the-air "-sensation.
An important and significant new investment for our guests. And it will strengthen Kongeparken & Rogaland as a destination. Raset is the first of its kind in Norway and is an experience that everyone in the family can enjoy!

With a successful start of our overnight adventures, we exceeded our expectations with a record breaking number of overnight guests!
This achievement further positions us as a multi-day destination. It recognizes the value we create for our guests 24/7.
The grand opening of Shaun's Wagons in Skåne marked a spectacular milestone, drawing visitors from across the globe, all with the wish to add more magic and dive deeper in to the universe of Shaun the Sheep.

Singin' in the Rain

High season battled heavy rain, yet our parks showed resilience and teamwork. Despite downpours, our teams ensured guests enjoyed delightful moments!
While August weather challenged us, it was a delight for our animals! We cherish this years new individuals as our lively lambs, cuddly Ruter, and lynx cubs Lexus and Leon, who've brought endless joy!
August danced with rain, but these furry friends filled our days with playfulness and charm!
Here's to our teams' resilience and the heartwarming joy from our beloved animals!
Håkon Lund Appointed Chair of IAAPA EMEA

We are proud to announce that Lund Gruppen's Håkon Lund has been named the Chairman of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. This appointment is a testament to Håkon's experience and longstanding commitment to the amusement park industry.

Dedicated to the preservation and prosperity of the amusement parks and attractions sector, IAAPA represents leading industry attractions, suppliers, and individual members from more than 100 countries. As the Chair of IAAPA EMEA, Håkon will bring his knowledge and insight to the forefront, helping to shape the future of the amusement parks and attractions industry.

This autumn, our parks underwent thrilling transformations, offering spine-tingling adventures fit for the entire family.
In Kongeparken, two beloved events seamlessly merged into one, blending the cozy ambiance of the day with the thrilling atmosphere of Ghost Night to create an unforgettable, and haunting, Halloween...
Meanwhile, in Skånes Djurpark, a spooky tweak was added to the Halloween celebrations. The eerie Ghost Woods (Spökskogen) spread through the park and captivated guests with an uncanny story unfolding...
The changes made in the concepts ensured that every member of the family could enjoy a delightful autumn celebration.
Both parks also scoring high in guest feedback and further proved the success of the unique blend of thrills and family-friendly fun.
Go Big or Go Home!

It was a month of ambitious strides and groundbreaking connections for us, deeply rooted in the spirit of the USA! Our park leadership embarked on an inspiring journey to Florida and Disney World, seeking inspiration and learning from the pioneers of amusement parks! The quest for innovation and excellence led us to these iconic destinations, enriching our vision and strategies for the future!
Meanwhile, back home, our Black Friday sales soared to new heights, setting unprecedented records and signaling a strong demand that sets the stage for an exhilarating 2024! The remarkable response reaffirms the enthusiasm and anticipation for what lies ahead, igniting excitement for the forthcoming year!
Here's to dreaming big, making bold connections, and setting new benchmarks on our journey towards excellence!
A December to Remember!

A dazzling finale to our year, as the hugely popular, and sold-out, Jul in Kongeparken created a magical Christmas wonderland where guests easily could get in their holiday spirit.
Under the twinkling lights and joyful melodies Kongeparkens guests enjoyed all that Christmas are; decorations, heartwarming performances, Christmas trees, food favorites and Kongeparken snow.
Meanwhile in Skånes Djurpark we received assistance from four external dentists who provided extra care for our female wolverine Annika and a female raccoon. Their expertise ensured our wildlife received the necessary dental care during this festive period!
As we bid farewell to 2023, big thanks to all dedicated professionals and the care they extended to our beloved animals this season! We're happy to have ended the year in such style and spreading joy and creating unforgettable moments for all our cherished guests!
